Yesterday, Trump announced he’s signing an executive order to rename the Department of Defense the Department of War.

Sounds bizarre, right? It is — but it’s more than odd. It’s a political stunt designed to distract from what Americans actually care about.

Trump, a President who never served a day in uniform, is showing his fervor for war and eagerness for conflict while ignoring the will of the American people. Time and time again, voters have made clear they’re tired of endless war.

Everyday Americans are struggling with the cost of living, skyrocketing prices, and broken promises from this administration. Renaming the DoD changes nothing for families who are hurting — it’s just fake strongman posturing.
