Jack,
Today I’m stopping by your inbox to talk to you a bit about my friend, Maggie Toulouse Oliver.
I am proud to know her and even prouder that she is fighting for voting rights as New Mexico’s Secretary of State. She’s been working hard every day to keep voters safe in this pandemic, and it’s because of her hard work that New Mexico’s June 2 primary saw record-breaking voter turnout.
Last year, Maggie ran a tough but positive campaign to represent New Mexico in the U.S. Senate. She fought hard for working families and individuals, stood up to the current administration, and embodied what it means to be in the Democratic Party.
Unfortunately, running for office is not cheap, and often leaves candidates and campaigns in debt. So here’s where we need your help: Maggie is still paying off debt from her Senate campaign last year, and she could really use your help with the last stretch. Maggie has an important job as Secretary of State and a bright future of public service in New Mexico, so getting rid of this debt will help her succeed on both fronts.
If it is in your budget, will you make a contribution to Maggie here and help her finish paying off the campaign debt?
Thank you for your support on this.
My best,
Tom Udall
