Team,
I ran for office because very few people like me -- immigrants, women, people of color, and organizers -- had their voices represented in government, especially in Congress. I felt that I had to explain for too long, too hard, and too loudly what seemed to me to be obvious problems. Now that I'm in Congress, I'm reminded that this campaign was never about me -- it's always been about carrying the voices of the silenced and the ignored to Washington, DC to build an America that works for ALL of us.
We've made great strides in our fight as we've championed bold progressive legislation to guarantee healthcare and housing, stand up for immigrants, and lift up working people -- but if we're going to create the transformative change people are counting on, we need to make sure our people-first movement isn't defeated by any of our four challengers.
My team just told me we're $3,007 short of our end-of-quarter goal, so before midnight tonight, will you donate to my campaign so I can keep fighting for our shared progressive values in Congress? Donate: [link removed]
Meeting this last end-of-quarter goal before the primary is critical -- what we raise together and how many grassroots donors pitch in will be a sign of strength not just for my candidacy but for our movement. Each of our four challengers will be eagerly awaiting our fundraising total so we can't fall short of this goal.
Donate ahead of tonight's end-of-quarter deadline so I can keep fighting for all of us and the progress we deserve in Congress: [link removed]
Thank you for proving that our power is greatest when we build the largest, most diverse and inclusive coalition. I'm so proud to be fighting alongside you.
In solidarity,
Pramila Jayapal
