I just finished grilling Robert Kennedy, whose leadership is catastrophic for America and the American health care system

Yesterday I tore into Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whose bold-faced lies, budget cuts and dangerous incompetence are putting American lives on the line.

And I didn't hold back – because this guy isn't just your everyday eccentric.

As the nation's top health official, his conspiracy theory-driven, Trump-aligned agenda poses a clear and present danger to the health of the American people. And by:

* Decimating our public health workforce and decades' worth of progress,


* Cancelling new research related to vaccines,


* Eroding public access to lifesaving vaccinations,


* Elevating untrained, unqualified charlatans to positions of public trust,


* Presiding over the largest cut to American health care coverage in history,


* And uplifting pseudoscience over evidence-based medical advice,


The damage he's done over the past 204 days alone will be felt for decades – he needs to step down or be removed from his post immediately. 

I made that much clear to his face during the hearing yesterday, and I will always fight to bring Trump and fellow fraudsters like Kennedy, and the Republicans who've enabled them, to account.

But with this kind of chicanery in the federal government, it's clear that Colorado's families and medical providers may not be able to look to D.C. for guidance in the future. It's got to start here in Colorado – and I'm running for governor to protect public health in our state and provide the vision our country will need to heal from the fallout of this administration's reckless policies.
