Oklahoma,

We're back in Washington continuing the fight to confirm President Trump's highly qualified nominees, fund the government, and provide for our national defense. We’ve confirmed 136 nominees so far, with another 145 nominees advanced out of committee. Of those, half are bipartisan. Democrat “leader” Chuck Schumer, fearing he'll lose his senate seat to radical liberal AOC, has put up a blockade. Republicans are working to change the rules and get it done.

On Wednesday, I met with President Trump's nominee for Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, E.J. Antoni. We haven't updated our process of studying and receiving labor data in decades—it’s time to prioritize efficiency and maximum transparency. How can we as legislators, citizens, consumers, and business leaders make decisions without the most up-to-date economic information? The Trump administration’s goal is to provide speedy, accurate, and most importantly, frequent data to the American people so that we can make informed decisions with our wallets and our workforce.

Watch him introduce himself HERE.

The blatant partisanship from the left is on full display. Chuck Schumer and the Senate Democrats are doing everything they can to slow down the confirmation process. To be clear, this historic blockade is unprecedented, and the direct result of Trump Derangement Syndrome. The Senate confirmed 98% of President George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton nominees by unanimous consent (a procedural tool to speed up confirmations). For President George W. Bush and Barack Obama, they confirmed 90% this way. During President Donald Trump’s first term, 65% of nominees were confirmed by unanimous consent. President Joe Biden’s one term was 57%.

Over the past 9 months, not a SINGLE Trump nominee has been confirmed by unanimous consent. Conversations are ongoing about how best to change the Senate rules to speed up confirmations and permanently end the blockade. We'll continue to update you. Stay tuned.

Chuck "Chuckie" Schumer and his radical friends are fighting against the will of the American people. Meanwhile, the Senate GOP is fighting for YOU! We're in 24/7 communication with the White House on adapting Senate rules to get the president’s team in place, and we're not going to let ANYTHING stop us.

This year's Senate version of the National Defense Authorization Act is chock-full of conservative wins that will benefit Oklahoma. We'll have more to share in the following weeks, but for now, we can discuss how it benefits you and the American warfighter. Right now, we're facing a threat level at the highest point since World War II. To counter these threats, we're going to pass legislation that will reform the Pentagon for efficiency and reindustrialization, modernize the military for the next generation of warfare, and give pay raises to our brave men and women in uniform.

We'll break down the specifics at a later date. Stay tuned for the impacts this will have on Oklahoma's role in supporting our armed services.

On Wednesday, Team Mullin toured the Oklahoma State University Agronomy Research Station and visited the Robert M. Kerr Food and Agricultural Products Center. Our team witnessed firsthand the future of wheat research and the advancements the center has made in milling, baking, and meat processing. Oklahoma's institutions are leading the way in agricultural development, and I could not be more excited for the next generation of Oklahoma farmers, ranchers, and producers to protect our rural way of life. Go Pokes!!

The Department of War has a nice ring to it. President Trump and Secretary Hegseth have made it their goal to reform the American warfighter, making them mission-focused and lethal again. On Friday, I joined Fox News's America's Newsroom with Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino to discuss not only the revamp of our military to be proactive rather than reactive, but also the recent strikes against drug cartels in the Caribbean, and the Venezuelan military incursion against the U.S. Navy. They would be wise not to risk the might of the greatest fighting force in the world—my message to them: mess around and find out.

I recently published my sixth ‘Mullin it Over’ column in a series of op-eds breaking down key policy wins that will benefit YOU from President Trump’s ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill’ (OBBB). I explained how the OBBB makes crop insurance more affordable for producers and that farmers will save more of their hard-earned money by being able to deduct 20% of their business income. Farmers will no longer have to worry about their land and operation leaving the family.

Check it out HERE.
