I Reintroduced a Resolution Condemning Socialism

This week I announced the introduction of a resolution condemning socialism as a failed ideology and the antithesis of the American Dream.

As far-left politicians like Zohran Mamdani in New York openly embrace socialist ideologies, this resolution serves as a blunt warning that socialism is not just misguided policy, it is a proven path to tyranny, starvation, and death, and has no place in America.

History is clear: from Stalin’s gulags and Cambodia’s killing fields to Castro’s firing squads in Havana, socialism has always ended in misery, suffering, and death. Entire nations have been destroyed and millions of lives shattered, including many in my own community who fled its brutality. That is why I am proud to introduce this concurrent resolution denouncing the horrors of socialism in the House, alongside Senator Rick Scott, to ensure Congress speaks with one voice in condemning socialism in all its forms, wherever it rears its ugly head. America must always stand as the light of liberty against the darkness of socialism and its false promises of equality.

National Wildlife Day: Defending our National Treasures

September 4th was National Wildlife Day! 

I’ve been proud to champion our wildlife in Congress, working to protect the endangered Florida Panther, safeguard migratory birds, and preserve the natural treasures that make Florida and our nation extraordinary.

In the past I have passed legislation such as: 

·         The REEF Act, which repurposes retired Navy ships into artificial reefs, to help restore coral ecosystems across the U.S.

·         The Migratory Birds Act, which protects the Everglades and safeguards migratory bird populations nationwide.

From the Everglades to the Smoky Mountains, I will never stop fighting to defend America's natural treasures.
