I’ve been through my fair share of tough races, but this one is different. I’ll explain more in just a minute, but here’s the most important takeaway: I’m in my toughest race yet.

I'll always be honest with you, John: We have a tough road ahead. Republicans are trying to force a complete partisan takeover of our elections here in Indiana, including trying to gerrymander me out of this seat entirely. It’s clear they are afraid of being held accountable by voters.

When I first ran for Congress, I knew nothing about this would be easy. From day one, Republicans have thrown everything they’ve got at me, and they’re not letting up.

But I’ve never backed down from a tough fight. I know what it takes to persevere — and to win — even when the odds are stacked against us.

You’ve heard me say it before, but I’ll say it again: your support means the world to me. And right now, I need it more than ever.

At the end of this month, we’ll face our first end-of-quarter deadline since Republicans launched this campaign to redraw our Congressional maps in order to cling onto their House majority.

Once our numbers will go public, Republicans will be looking for any sign of weakness. It’s up to us to show them that we’re stronger than ever.
