Dear JOHN, The District Work Period is over, and it was a busy first week back in DC. The main takeaway? Some of my colleagues are just as fired up as I am to ban individual stock trading by members of Congress.
Some pretty credible sources tell me this may be the highest polling piece of bipartisan legislation ever. It seems pretty straightforward – members and their families shouldn't get fat off inside information. We’re finally seeing some movement, but if our colleagues don’t have the guts to bring it to the floor, Rep. Luna is prepared to force the vote. President Trump wants to sign a bill to end the crookedness. Now, it’s up to Congress to deliver.
