Let's get one thing clear, friend: Trump’s decision to uproot the U.S. Space Command headquarters from Colorado Springs is a blatant political ploy with military assets and a brazen abuse of power.
And his reasoning isn't based on any national security or strategic advantages.
It's because of Colorado's revolutionary mail-in voting system, which ensures that all eligible voters in our state can participate in our democracy – and he can't stand it:
He and his Republican allies know that the more people who get to vote, the more likely Democrats are to win.
That's why they're trying to illegally gerrymander maps on the state level.
That's why they're trying to pass unconstitutional Jim Crow-style voting requirements in Congress.
That's why Trump is personally pushing for a ban on mail-in voting nationwide. Because he and the GOP know that this foundational right of every citizen is the last thing in the way of their true goal: to rule us instead of represent us.
So my vow to you today is that as Colorado's next governor, I will fight this politically motivated relocation of U.S. Space Command and every other one of Trump's baseless attacks on our state every step of the way. I will stop at nothing to protect mail-in voting, and I will always work to make our state an example of how to best fight back against Trump's reckless extremism.
But to make any of that happen, friend, I need your help to win this race.
So please, friend, will you help me make good on this promise – and keep Colorado a nationwide blueprint for upholding our free and fair democracy – with a donation of any amount today?
