Dear John,

Each year in June, we celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month. This year’s Pride looked a little different, but we still honored our hard-won progress and recognized the work that still needs to be done to achieve full equality.

But we know the LGBTQ+ community needs more than just celebration – they need action, too. That’s why we’re working to ensure LGBTQ+ voters are empowered, informed, and engaged in 2020.

Like many marginalized communities, people who identify as LGBTQ+ are often disenfranchised when it comes to voting. As Pride Month comes to a close, we want to highlight some voting resources that might be particularly useful for LGBTQ+ folks.

Learn more about voter ID in your state
Voter ID laws can create barriers for trans and nonbinary folks, who may not have a photo ID that matches their gender identity.

Learn how to vote without a home address
Many LGBTQ+ people experience housing instability or homelessness, which can make it difficult to register to vote.

Rock the Vote is working to make sure everyone has access to the ballot, from keeping voters informed about laws in their state to advocating for improved voter ID policies to ensuring vote-by-mail options are inclusive of people without mailing addresses.

Happy Pride!
