Dear john,

Here in Washington, my colleagues could all use some positive news as we continue our work to serve the American people. All August long, I was uplifted by the phenomenal work and remarkable achievements of the people I met with throughout the Sixth District, so what better way to share some good news than to tell stories directly from constituents such as yourself? Do you have a notable achievement worth celebrating? Perhaps a milestone birthday, anniversary, or retirement celebration? I want to hear from you so I can tell Congress more about what makes our district so special. To share your story, complete the Commendations and Greetings request form on my website by clicking here or on the button below. I look forward to hearing from you!

This week, Georgians commemorated the one year anniversary of the tragic shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder. In light of this anniversary, and in the immediate aftermath of the deadly school shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, I joined 130 of my colleagues in calling on Speaker Mike Johnson to take action to end gun violence. To learn more about our recent efforts, read my press release.

McBath joins Gun Violence Prevention Task Force in urging Speaker Mike Johnson to protect the American people.

I am continuing my work to identify Vietnam War era veterans and their families to be recognized in a Vietnam War 50th Commemoration Pinning Ceremony later this fall. This is the final year of the commemoration period, and I am focused on making sure that every Vietnam veteran or surviving family member of a veteran in my district is publicly recognized for their service to our country. To learn more and apply to be recognized, click here or on the image below. A member of my staff will be in contact with all eligible applicants to share more information regarding ceremony date and location soon.

Are you a Vietnam War era veteran? Congresswoman Lucy McBath invites you to apply to be recognized in a ceremony commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. This ceremony will take place in late fall of 2025. All eligible applicants will be contacted upon submission of their application. Click this image to access the application form. Question? Call (470) 773-6330 or visit mcbath.house.gov.

Thank you for taking the time to stay up to date with my office. Please stay in touch and do not hesitate to reach out if my staff and I can assist you with any federal issues.

Sincerely,
