As pharmacies across the United States refuse to dispense abortion pills, it’s important to know your rights and access to medication abortion. Costco recently announced they would not be selling mifepristone, the first medication in the prescription abortion pill regimen. Costco claimed a ‘lack of demand’ for their decision, despite a study from 2023 showcasing that medication abortion accounted for 63% of all abortions in the United States.
