I had to make another tough call this morning so we could win this race.

To be frank, we weren’t expecting the GOP to meddle in our primary as much as they are. The sheer number of attacks directed at our campaign these past couple of weeks has been alarming. We’ve had to rework our budget and pull critical resources from other areas just to compete.

To make matters worse, we just got intel that Republican groups are launching a barrage of nasty attacks the minute this primary is over. Yep, that means we’re being outspent almost 3:1. Not good.

So...I just authorized a last-minute investment in paid media to fight back against the Republican attacks and prepare our campaign for the general election. I approved this large investment even though it has tightened our budget.

We’re projected to fall behind our FEC goal tonight, but I’m willing to bet that this grassroots team can get us back on track and ensure we have the financial resources to take this calculated risk and fight back right now.
