Immigrants make our communities stronger. They are neighbors, workers, students, business owners, and friends.

But today, ICE raids are separating families and spreading fear across the U.S. Immigrants—including legal residents and citizens—are being detained at workplaces, grocery stores, courthouses, hospitals, and schools. Every day, raids take away more of our community members, violating basic rights that should protect us all.

As a Quaker organization, AFSC believes in the inherent value and dignity of all people. That’s why we’re calling on governors nationwide to stand up for immigrants by:

* Ending collaboration between Immigrant and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and local law enforcement.
* Protecting access to essential services for all residents.
* Keeping schools and communities safe from immigration raids.
* Refusing to use state National Guard for immigration enforcement.
