Write Yourself In

Wouldn't it be nice to win elected office without worrying about getting on the ballot first? How about if instead of campaigning for weeks and months, you just did it for one day? That's how dozens of write-in candidates win office every year. There are many many offices in PA with no candidates this year and it's not too late. With a little effort on election day, you could hold one of these offices.?

Here's how it works.?

1. Reach out to your local Division of Elections office and find out if any offices are open and pick one that's right for you.?

2. Give them a list of alias someone might write in meaning to vote for you.

3. Print out some sort of handout with your name and the office you're running for. We'd love to help you out with this especially if you are willing to do this as a Forwardist and promote us at the same time.

4. On Election Day, you and any volunteers you recruit stand at polling places, distribute hand outs and explain why voters should write you in.?

We spend a lot of time talking about ballot access and eligibility. This is a shortcut that can be perfect for political newcomers and can make voting feel local and alive. Let us know if you have any questions.
