** 1. NC VALUES: Judge Denies Justice to Prisha
------------------------------------------------------------
Last week, a Gaston County judge dismissed the fraud and conspiracy claims brought by detransitioner Prisha Mosley, who suffered permanent damage from experimental gender transition interventions as a teenager. Even after the legislature passed HB805, extending the statute of limitations so victims like Prisha could pursue justice, Judge Robert Ervin denied her motion and blocked her malpractice claim.
At NC Values, we are standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Prisha. As our Executive Director Tami Fitzgerald declared to the Carolina Journal ([link removed]) : “People like Prisha deserve the ability to hold the doctors who committed medical malpractice against them with harmful gender transition interventions accountable. Judge Ervin was wrong to deny her motion.”

** 2. THE FEDERALIST: RFK Jr. Says FDA Is Investigating Dangerous Abortion Pill After Revealing Biden Admin ‘Twisted The Data’
------------------------------------------------------------
"Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. confirmed in a Senate Finance Committee hearing Thursday that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is actively reviewing the drug responsible for more than half of the nation’s abortions.
'We’re getting data in all the time, new data that we’re reviewing,' Kennedy told Republican Sen. James Lankford. 'And we know that during the Biden administration, they actually twisted the data to bury one of the safety signals with a very high safety signal, around 11 percent.'"

** 3. CAROLINA JOURNAL: Hanig to Challenge Democrat Don Davis for Congress
------------------------------------------------------------
"Republican State Sen. Bobby Hanig has declared his candidacy for North Carolina’s 1st Congressional District, setting up the possibility of a high-profile race against Democratic incumbent Don Davis in 2026.
The district spans 22 counties, stretching from the Outer Banks to the outskirts of Raleigh, and is considered the state’s only truly competitive congressional seat."

** 4. CAROLINA JOURNAL: NC’s Eugenics History Should Make Us Cautious On Gender Policy
------------------------------------------------------------
"The case raises a larger question North Carolinians cannot ignore: How should our state approach deeply personal medical policies when the evidence is contested and the stakes are life-altering?
The NIH believes that 'detransition' rates are low, but makes clear that studies offer a wide range on the rate of 'regret,' anywhere from 1% to 13% of gender transition patients. Another study from the NIH did find however that individuals who underwent gender-affirming surgery had a 12.12-fold higher suicide attempt risk than those who did not."

** 5. DAILY WIRE: ‘Stunning’: Ted Cruz Reads Tim Kaine The Riot Act Over Claim That Rights Aren’t God-Given
------------------------------------------------------------
“'I just walked into the hearing as he was saying that, and I almost fell out of my chair, because that "radical and dangerous notion’"— in his words — is literally the founding principle upon which the United States of America was created,' said Cruz.
Quoting former President Thomas Jefferson’s words from the Declaration of Independence, Cruz added, '"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, and that they are endowed by their Creator" — not by government, not by the Democratic National Committee, but by God — "with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."'"

** WEEKLY PRAYER: Life
------------------------------------------------------------
LORD, we recognize that you are Sovereign over all creation. We recognize you made man from the dust, and in your mercy, you crowned creation with man and woman made in your image. What a wonder it is that you would bestow upon us this blessing and responsibility!
LORD, may we not take this blessing for granted. We pray that this great responsibility and dignity may motivate us to love You, our neighbors, and our families more. LORD, may we as a culture truly see and believe that children are a blessing from the LORD—born or unborn; able or disabled. All children should have an opportunity to experience the liberty of life. LORD, make us your vehicle to change our culture into one that cherishes and protects life. Keep at the forefront of our minds our responsibilities to respect, cherish, and serve the youngest and oldest in our society.
“At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, ‘Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?’ He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me. If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.'” (Matthew 18:1-6)
Sincerely,
Tami & Team
