Today is Beyoncé's birthday, and you better believe I kicked off my morning workout with some of my favorite tracks of hers!

Yes, that’s me in the photo with Beyoncé, her mom, and Kelly Rowland at a rally in Houston last year. I’m thrilled to share that despite being one of the biggest stars on the planet, she was incredibly warm and genuinely down-to-earth.

She spoke from the heart, as a mother, about the kind of country she wants her children to grow up in and the responsibility we all share in helping shape that future.

Her words from that night are just as powerful and perhaps even more relevant today – because we still have work to do to make Texas and our country a place we’re proud to pass on to the next generation. A place where hard work is rewarded, opportunity is truly equal, and truth still matters.
