update on the National Guard deployment in Washington, DC.
Trump is now expected to extend the deployment at least through December:

This is just the latest escalation in Trump’s march toward
authoritarianism, and it’s essential that we continue to speak out and
defend our democracy.
Pramila has been working to fight back by speaking out in Congress and
organizing the nonviolent resistance across the country — but she can’t do
it without your grassroots support.
And with Trump continuing to threaten similar deployments in other large
cities with Democratic leadership, now is not the time to back down.
