We know Republicans are working to destroy our fundamental freedoms from every angle. They're banning abortion, attacking IVF, and, based on rumblings from certain Republican-controlled legislatures, coming for birth control next. They're radically reshaping our courts and destroying our federal workforce. They're flouting foundational American ideals in order to fashion the current president into an unstoppable tyrant.

They've made it clear, in other words, that their goal is to attack the very root of what defines America.  

And there's one plan of attack that doesn't get enough attention: The Republican plot to rewrite the U.S. Constitution. You read that right: If the GOP controls enough state legislatures, they can call a constitutional convention and rewrite our country's founding document.

Republicans have been working for decades to overwhelm state legislatures and rewrite the rules to ensure they stay in power at all costs. 28 states have already pledged to call for a constitutional convention, which means Republicans need to convince just SIX more to enshrine their anti-choice, anti-democracy ideas into our Constitution.

I'm here to tell you we won't let that happen. We've been working to build governing majorities in critical states for decades, because we know that state legislatures are vital in protecting our rights. This cycle is no different: we have strong Democratic pro-choice women running at the state level in both 2025 and 2026. Every win for a Democratic pro-choice woman means Republicans get further from their goal.
