It has been months since Trump first tried to divert attention away from the Epstein Files. With each passing week, he has grown more desperate to have the public — particularly his supporters — focus on something else. He assumes that if the files are never released, their secrets will never be revealed.

Donald Trump is forgetting something important about the Epstein Files: he isn’t the only one who knows the truth. His actions won’t disappear by deleting a file, clearing a hard drive or shredding papers. There are hundreds of women who were abused and exploited by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. They know the truth, and now, they are speaking up. 

Yesterday, the survivors held a press conference urging members of Congress to force a vote on a bill to release the Epstein Files. The bill has support across party lines — including hardline MAGA loyalists like ​​Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene — but GOP leaders refuse to bring it to a vote. As they have proven all too well, Republicans’ first priority is to protect Trump, not to do what’s right.
