Friend — Congress just returned from recess, and at Donald Trump’s urging, Republicans are moving quickly to push through MASSIVE cuts to the programs and agencies that keep our air breathable and water safe to drink and protect us from toxic pollution.

Congress has a narrow window to come to an agreement to avoid a government shutdown, which would defund programs that keep us healthy and safe. Here are just some of the proposals that put us at risk:
- Slashing the National Park Service budget by nearly 40%, which would be the largest ever cut to national parks in our history and would lead to less clean, less safe parks, and degrade the natural and cultural resources parks are intended to protect.
- Deep cuts to the EPA, including completely eliminating environmental justice programs — abandoning the neighborhoods already bearing the brunt of climate change and hobbling the agency’s ability to hold polluters accountable.
- Reduced funding to help states upgrade their water infrastructure, leaving communities around the country with crumbling systems and unsafe, undrinkable water.

This moment is so high-stakes for the future of our environment, health, and communities that we’ve set an urgent goal to raise $50,000 by September 30 — the same deadline Congress has to vote on the budget — and every gift will be TRIPLED.
With your support, we’ll be on Capitol Hill every day, advocating to stop the worst case scenarios from coming to pass. But our team is only one part of this resistance, and we can’t do it alone.

Friend, we need your support to give this fight everything we’ve got.

To keep the pressure up as the September 30 budget deadline looms large, we need to raise $50,000 before the end of this month. If everyone reading this right now pitched in just $5, we could hit that goal in just minutes.
