Hey y’all —
I’ll cut to the chase: If we want to flip the Texas House, we don’t need to win all 150 seats. We just need to protect the Democrats already doing the work — and flip a few more with the same kind of grit and grassroots power that got us this far.
But here’s the kicker: Republicans know that, too. That’s why they’re laser-focused on a handful of Democratic-held seats they think they can snatch back with enough dark money, disinformation, and voter apathy. We can’t let this go unanswered.
Let me tell you about a few of the champions they’re coming for:
* Rep. Mihaela Plesa (HD-70) — flipped a Collin County seat in 2022 that Democrats had never held before. The GOP is drooling over the chance to take it back.
*
* Rep. Salman Bhojani (HD-92) — made history in Tarrant County and is one of the most effective grassroots legislators in the building. Republicans don’t like that. At all.
*
* Rep. Liz Campos (HD-119) — standing strong for San Antonio and constantly under attack for speaking up on mental health care.
*
* Rep. Venton Jones (HD-100) — Texas’ first openly HIV-positive lawmaker, fighting for public health and LGBTQ+ Texans every single day. The far-right has made him a target.
These are good people. Fighters. Organizers. Public servants in the truest sense of the word. And without your help ( financially [[link removed]] and through volunteering [[link removed]] ), they’ll be fighting with one hand tied behind their backs while the deep pockets of Republican PACs flood the zone with misleading ads and outright lies about our team.
Good news for us, though, because we have the secret sauce (the facts, the common good, objective reality, YOU). Here’s what we know: when we talk directly to voters, we win.
That’s how we flipped seats in the first place. That’s how we’ve held on in Dallas, El Paso, the Valley, and suburbs across the state. It’s how we’ll hold the line again — and then go on offense.
If you're fired up and ready to protect Democrats like Rep. Plesa and Rep. Bhojani, here's what to do next: Sign up to volunteer in a battleground district. [[link removed]]VOLUNTEER [[link removed]]
We'll connect you with the right team in your area — whether you want to knock doors, make calls, send texts, or help us make sure every voter knows exactly what’s at stake in 2026.
This isn’t just about holding a few seats. It’s about holding the line for public education, reproductive freedom, healthcare access, voting rights, and the future of Texas. It’s about flipping Texas Blue where it counts: in the State House.
We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us, I won’t lie to you. But with your time and talents supporting us as a volunteer, I know we’ll get there. Please, sign up today.VOLUNTEER [[link removed]]
Thanks for being in this with us. Let’s get to work.

P.S. Look, I get it. Signing up to volunteer in this political environment can seem scary. That’s why our volunteer team has opportunities for every comfort level. Organizing our communities is the single best way to guarantee voters hear what they need to. So, please, stand with us today and learn how you can best support your Texas Dems. [[link removed]]
And if you prefer to donate, you can do that here. [[link removed]] Every dollar goes to work to support our organizing efforts.
We are the Texas Dems. We're protecting Texans from Republican extremists and their unending stream of misinformation statewide. Let's be clear, Texas Republicans have drawn district lines to choose the voters they want, and D.C. Republicans have poured tens of millions of dollars in dark money into Texas. We are on the front lines of pushing back against their influence with voters.
Taking Texas back from extremist Republicans is going to take all of us. Will you chip in now to help us elect Democrats who will work hard to represent all Texans, and not just the wealthy few? [[link removed]]
