For 25 years, First Star has walked alongside youth and young adults who have experienced foster care through high school graduations, college milestones, and the everyday challenges that come in between. Your support has helped make that journey possible.

Since launching our direct-service Academy model in 2011, we have improved the lives of more than 3,000 youth and young adults with foster care experience. Our Scholars are achieving meaningful progress. They are graduating from high school, enrolling in college, and pursuing their goals with determination and hope.

Through our four core pillars – Academies, Alumni Services, STEAM, and Coalition Building – we replace instability with steady guidance, opportunity, and sustained investment in each young person's growth.

Still, the beginning of each school year brings new challenges. From school supplies and dorm room essentials to food and transportation, the costs can be overwhelming for youth in care.

Your gift today will help a Scholar begin the year with the confidence and support they need to succeed.

* $25 provides basic school supplies like notebooks, pens, and folders for one Scholar.
* $50 covers a backpack filled with essential academic tools and hygiene items.
* $100 helps furnish a dorm room with bedding, towels, and other college living essentials.
* $250 supports transportation needs such as bus passes, ride shares, or move-in travel costs.
* $500 could provide an emergency micro-grant for a Scholar living away from home.
