John, we're looking at the latest rankings for some of our key races and there's one word that we keep seeing: toss-up.
So many of our Congressional, statewide, state legislative, city council and local races are toss ups and they'll come down to the wire. We can't afford to slow down. With just 60 days until Election Day, we have to make every second count. These candidates are counting on you, John. Pitch in today to move pro-choice LGBTQ+ candidates from toss-ups to VICTORIES!
I won’t tell you this is easy. Just look at what we’re up against. In Arizona, Attorney General Kris Mayes is preparing for another nailbiter race. In the U.S. Senate, Angie Craig and Chris Pappas are locked in tough battles that will help decide control of the chamber, while in the House, incumbents Sharice Davids and Eric Sorensen are defending must-win seats against relentless opposition.
And that’s only the beginning. In Virginia, Joshua Cole and Lindsey Dougherty are running in must-win races to protect the pro-equality majority in the House of Delegates. In New Jersey, Luanne Peterpaul must defend a critical Assembly seat. At the local level, history is on the line: in Alabama, Antwon Womack is poised to make history if he wins his runoff; in Kansas, William Naeger could bring essential representation to the Topeka City Council; and in Ohio, Jesse Vogel and Rebecca Maurer are working overtime to preserve the few pro-equality voices left in the state.
These races are incredibly close - and bigoted attacks are increasing. But we know our candidates have a path to victory, and with help and support, they will win. Pitch in today to move these toss-up to LGBTQ+ wins on Election Night!
Thank you,
