Farm animals need your help to stop the unraveling of even the most basic protections.

PROTECT FARM ANIMALS FROM CRUELTY!
PROTECT PROP 12!

Take Action

As you read this, friend, special-interest groups are pushing Congress to pass federal legislation that would undo critical farm animal protections provided by California’s Prop 12. Now, we need your immediate action to protect animals from dangerous bills that could wipe out not only Prop 12 but 14 other similar state laws aimed at addressing animal welfare.

Here’s why:

Prop 12 is a landmark animal welfare law passed in California in 2018. It prohibits the in-state production and sale of products from farm animals raised in cruel and extreme confinement. Prop 12 is a powerful statement from communities who want better standards for animals—but now this crucial victory is under attack once again.

That’s because Congress has introduced two bills aimed at wiping out Prop 12: the so-called Food Security and Farm Protection Act—identical to the Ending Agricultural Trade Suppression (EATS) Act from the last Congress that we fought and defeated—and the Save Our Bacon Act, which is the same language as the Prop 12 “fix” in the failed 2024 House Farm Bill.

Together, besides attacking protections for animals raised for food, these bills could jeopardize how states set standards for disease and quarantine control, toxic materials and more. Bottom line, friend, the impact could spread far beyond California and animal protection laws. That’s why we’re calling on concerned people like you to join us in the fight to protect Prop 12 and state animal protection laws nationwide.

Please, will you send a message to your legislators and urge them to protect Prop 12, oppose the Food Security and Farm Protection Act (S. 1326), Save Our Bacon Act (H.R. 4673) and any other related attacks that could wipe out animal protection laws across the country?

Take Action

Thank you for your support of animals everywhere.
