Dear John, As you've probably heard by now, today is officially GiveOUT Day, the only national day of giving for the LGBTQ community. What you may not have heard is that we have some prizes and surprises lined up for you! We are having so much fun seeing all of the donations come in from our friends, family, and supporters across the Commonwealth - thank you! We're still in the top three on the Southern Large Organization Leaderboard, which means we have a real chance of winning additional money. Check out our prizes and surprises below for some fun ways to join us and keep the energy going: - 12:00 - 1:00pm We will be giving away our highly-sought-after EV t-shirts for every donation of $25 or more made during our lunchtime power hour! This offer is available while supplies last.
- 2:00 - 2:30pm Sadie will go Live on Facebook to give a tutorial on how to sew a cute, Pride-themed face mask at home. Anyone who donates while she's live will be entered to win the mask!
- 4:00 - 4:30pm Thalia will go Live on Facebook to share her love of language and discuss the history of LGBTQ terminology. Anyone who donates while she's live will be entered to win a trendy backpack from Mongrel!
- 6:00pm If we can reach 300 donations by 6pm, our executive director, Vee Lamneck, will shave their head on Facebook Live! Sadie and Thalia are rooting for this to happen - don't let them down!
All funds raised today help us keep up our momentum as we continue to advocate, organize, and mobilize for LGBTQ equality and racial justice in Virginia. Contributing today is extra important because prizes will be given to the organizations with the largest number of individual gifts. This means your donation of $10 or more can really go the distance. Please ask your family, friends, coworkers - anyone you know - to chip in today! Much appreciation, All of us at EV P.S. We believe strongly in investing in our community’s Black LGBTQ leaders, so we invite you to show your Pride by matching your donation to Equality Virginia by giving directly to Black-led LGBTQ organizations. | |
