 Let's talk about Texas.
More specifically, let's talk about the 35th Congressional district which Democrats won by a whopping 35 points, receiving over DOUBLE the amount of votes as the Republican candidate. This is a massive win signaling the potential we have to tap new, blue voters in the South! But thanks to Republican gerrymandering, this district is now bright red. In fact, the Cook Political Report ranks it LIKELY REPUBLICAN! Think about that. Afters years of organizing and speaking with folks in Texas, they overwhelmingly voted for the Democrats. But with a flick of a pen, a few politicians silenced all of them. This is not what democracy looks like. It's going to take everything we've got to make sure these people are heard and represented. That's why we're asking for your help to combat the dirty tricks the GOP is playing in the South.
