I’m reaching out today on behalf of my dear friend Anthony Brindisi, who is running in one of the most competitive congressional races in the entire country.

If you have a moment to read my note, I’d like to tell you a little more about Anthony’s race and why it’s so important that we re-elect him this November.

But if you don’t have time today, please consider making a donation to help him. Anthony’s first FEC deadline of the general election is midnight tonight, and frankly, he could miss his fundraising goal if he doesn’t have the support of grassroots donors like you. >>

Upstate New York is my home, and there’s nobody who has worked harder to protect our values and fight for our priorities than Anthony. Whether fighting for quality education for our rural schools in the state legislature or taking on price gouging from Spectrum Cable and Big Pharma in Congress, he’s always been there as an independent voice for our communities.

But Anthony’s official GOP opponent, Claudia Tenney, couldn’t be more different. The one term she spent in Washington could only be described as disastrous: She voted to strip health care from 1.1 million New Yorkers and deepened the pockets of wealthy corporations that ship out jobs.

To you and me, the contrast seems pretty clear. But the unfortunate reality is dark money groups are already at work trying to manipulate the truth. They know this toss-up race could go either way, and they’re spending MILLIONS to give Claudia a win.

Anthony needs us by his side in order to report a strong showing and prove he can go head-to-head with Claudia and her shady backers. That’s why I’m asking you to chip in whatever you can to support Anthony before his public fundraising deadline at midnight tonight.
