IDF increasing preparations to take Gaza City
One of Hamas' final strongholds, Gaza City, is coming under increasing pressure as the IDF
[link removed]
prepares to conquer the city from Hamas and destroy the group's terror infrastructure there.
Tens of thousands of Israelis reported for military duty yesterday to boost the IDF's manpower ahead of the operation, which is expected to begin in mid-September.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel is now "facing the decisive stage" of operations in Gaza, and IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir told the called-up reservists: "We are going to increase and enhance the strikes of our operation, and that is why we called you. The IDF does not offer anything less than decisive victory. We will not stop the war until we defeat this enemy."
The IDF

announced today that it killed the head of the Gaza-based "Mujahideen Brigades" terrorist group, Musbah Salim Musbah Dayyah, in a strike last week.
The Mujahideen Brigades participated in Hamas' October 7 massacre and were involved in kidnapping Israelis, including Shiri Bibas and her two young children, Ariel, 4, and Kfir, just 10 months old at the time.
Shiri and her children were later murdered in captivity.
Meanwhile, the IDF

released new intelligence, a call between an Israeli officer and Gazan resident, highlighting Hamas' ongoing efforts to disrupt Israel's humanitarian efforts.
Israel is urging Gazan civilians to leave Gaza City ahead of the IDF's operations there and move to humanitarian zones further south.
"We want to leave, but they're waiting for us on the way," the Gazan says, referring to Hamas.

In contrast to Hamas' blatant disregard for the welfare of Gazans, Israel is surging aid into the enclave, bringing in food, water, medicine, and shelter.
Since May, Israel has brought over

12,000 aid trucks into Gaza, 80% of which carried food.
The IDF has also coordinated the airdrop of over 2,700 food aid packages, while the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation has

distributed 152 million meals directly to civilians.

Hamas could end the war today if it would lay down its arms, release the hostages, and surrender. Instead, it is prolonging the suffering of Israelis and Palestinians alike.
As President Trump
[link removed]
said today: "Tell Hamas to IMMEDIATELY give back all 20 Hostages (Not 2 or 5 or 7!), and things will change rapidly. IT WILL END!"
The United States must increase the pressure on Hamas and its sponsors in Qatar, Turkey and Iran to release all the hostages.
New sanctions targeting Iranian oil smuggling
The Treasury Department yesterday took action to increase the pressure on Iran, sanctioning a shipping network owned by an Iraqi businessman involved in smuggling Iranian oil, generating hundreds of millions of dollars for the regime.
"By targeting Iran’s oil revenue stream, Treasury will further degrade the regime’s ability to carry out attacks against the United States and its allies. We remain committed to an oil supply free from Iran and will continue our efforts to disrupt the ongoing attempts by Tehran to evade U.S. sanctions," Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent

Houthi ballistic missile intercepted
Israel today

intercepted a Houthi ballistic missile launched from Yemen that triggered sirens in Tel Aviv.
This follows a major Israeli strike on the Houthis last week that wiped out a number of the terror group's leaders.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz

said : "The remnants of the Houthi leadership are fleeing Sana’a. We knew how to hunt them down this time — and we will know how to do so in the future."
Israel considering response to unilateral Palestinian statehood recognition
Prime Minister Netanyahu and other top Israeli officials will
[link removed]
meet tomorrow to discuss possible responses to various Western countries' push to unilaterally recognize a Palestinian state.
Unilaterally recognizing a Palestinian state rewards Hamas’ barbaric attack on the Jewish state on October 7 and makes peace and reconciliation even more elusive.
In response to the calls to recognize a Palestinian state, senior Hamas official Ghazi Hamed recently
[link removed]
said in an interview with Al Jazeera: "The initiative by several countries to recognize a Palestinian state is one of the fruits of October 7. We proved that victory over Israel is not impossible, and our weapons are a symbol of Palestinian dignity."
The path to a permanent peace is through direct, bilateral talks between Israel and Palestinians who reject Hamas' eliminationist ideology.
New report debunks genocide allegations
A new report from Israel's Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies debunks the false allegations of genocide being leveled against Israel.
The report's eight chapters cover allegations of deliberate starvation of Gazans, Hamas' use of human shields, Israel's compliance with the laws of war, and other key topics.
