Thanks to you, our first-ever It Gets Better Summer Reading Challenge was a massive success. Together, we hit our fundraising goal, engaged nearly 20 authors in deeply personal videos, live readings, book talks, and fundraisers, and we sent a powerful message: queer stories matter, and they cannot be silenced. Because of your support, LGBTQ+ youth will continue to have access to It Gets Better’s life-affirming programs—from leadership development and student-led grants to the storytelling platforms that help young people share their voices with the world. Your generosity ensures these programs thrive, keeping LGBTQ+ youth seen, supported, and heard.

And we’re just getting started. Over the next few weeks, stay tuned as we:

• Unveil the 2025–2026 youth-led It Gets Better: Changemakers grant recipients.
