John, as the mom of three girls in Virginia's public schools, I want our students to have access to a world-class education, from early childhood, to K-12, to college and beyond.

That's why I recently unveiled my Strengthening Virginia Schools Plan in Hampton Roads.

Virginians deserve a Governor who acknowledges the challenges that we're facing — from a severe teacher shortage to declining academic performance to child care costs exceeding the price of a four-year degree — and offers real, actionable solutions.

Under my plan, I'd equip our parents and educators with the resources they need to prepare our kids for success.

I'm talking about increasing the supply of child care, giving our teachers a raise, repairing schools that are crumbling, funding community colleges and HBCUs, and making sure everybody has a path to success — whether that's by attending college, an apprenticeship program, or trade school.
