Resources for Providers to Prepare for ICE Presence at Health Care Facilities
[link removed] [[link removed]]

Dear PRH Community,

Under the Trump Administration, there has been a dramatic increase in immigration enforcement alongside a rise in anti-immigrant rhetoric and sentiment. Health care settings are now vulnerable to immigration enforcement actions. This is unacceptable, and we must stay vigilant.

Whether you’re a health care worker, know someone who is, or just want to stay informed, we’ve created a comprehensive guide [[link removed]] to help clinics and providers be prepared if ICE shows up at their workplace.

The guide includes the following printable and shareable resources [[link removed]]:

* Top 5 Ways to Prepare for Ice: This at-a-glance document quickly outlines five steps your health care facility can take NOW to uphold patient and provider rights.
* How to Read a Warrant: Understanding the different types of warrants and how to identify a valid judicial warrant may help curb unlawful policing.
* SCRIPT: What to Say to ICE: What to say if ICE shows up at your facility.
* SCRIPT: What to Say to Patients: A script for health care providers to use when communicating with all patients given the current anti-immigrant climate.
* Signs Designating Private Areas: Signs to help restrict access to private areas for those who are providing care and receiving care.

It is our collective duty as health care providers to do everything we can to protect our community members, regardless of immigration status.

Thank you to our partners at Just Futures [[link removed]] and Mijente [[link removed]] for your leadership on immigrant justice advocacy, support, and resources. We appreciate your partnership as we create resources for health care providers.

In solidarity,
