Michelle Obama is trying hard to turn Arizona blue.
She’s recruited the mayors of Mesa and Phoenix, two major cities in the vital battleground state, to join her Civic Cities voter initiative.
And according to Phoenix mayor John Giles, his goal in joining Michelle’s coalition is to increase voter registration in “communities that historically have underperformed when it comes to registering and getting out to vote.”
In other words: it’s very possible there could be a blue wave in Arizona this fall -- and that we’d have America’s favorite First Lady to thank for it.
