John,

The House passing the George Floyd Justice In Policing Act of 2020 was a tremendous start in reforming our policing system and fighting racial inequality in our nation. But the fight isn’t over, not by a long shot.

That’s why Hank was on NPR last week, explaining what the next steps are. We need to reach across the aisle and work with Republicans, yes, but we can’t just bend over backwards and accept watered down “compromise” that won’t actually make a difference to Black Americans.

We need concrete actions, not window dressing.

Hank Johnson has been fighting this fight for years, and he has no plans to quit. He’ll take on the legislative “grim reaper” -- Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell -- and achieve real police reform.

Listen to Hank’s remarks on NPR, and then consider making a contribution to Hank’s campaign so he can win re-election in 2020 and keep up these crucial fights.

Thanks!
- Team Hank
