In these days of high uncertainty - from shifting news stories about
COVID-19, economic surges and meltdowns, peaceful protests and those that
are violent, we all need some good news. This one surprised us – but we are
nonetheless pleased to report that the LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva
just announced that he plans to increase CCW permits by 400%. For the
residents of Los Angeles County, this policy switch-up is welcome news,
especially given permits have been notoriously difficult to get. This is a
sharp turnround from Villanueva’s anti-gun efforts when the coronavirus hit
– GOC was on the front lines fighting his initial edict that “gun stores
weren’t essential” and therefore should be closed. Read more about
Villanueva’s Facebook broadcast below.
Check out the news stories below – Americans and gun owners in particular
need to know what is happening in the world around them – and the ongoing
threat to their individual rights. Being armed and informed is one of the
most significant things we each can do – PLEASE FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO
FRIENDS AND FAMILY – we are far more effective when we have an informed
army of people standing with us!
***GOC is keeping a watchful eye on the bizarre budget negotiations at the
State Capitol. Not content to push more gun control in the more traditional
sense where a bill would go through a series of public hearings,
the Legislature is using the Governor’s budget to circumvent transparency
as a means to do some 2nd Amendment damage. Read our Legislative
SOS [1]here.***
