Palestinian Terrorists Fire Rockets at Israeli Communities
Palestinian terrorists in Gaza are again firing rockets into southern Israel. Over the last six days, five rockets have been launched toward Israel. Israelis have had to spend multiple nights in bomb shelters as rockets are launched toward their communities. The Iron Dome missile defense system, funded by the U.S. Congress, has intercepted these rockets and continues to save countless lives.

Hezbollah Adopts Gaza Arson Tactics Against Israel
A fire that raged along Israel’s border with Lebanon on Friday appears to be the work of Hezbollah terrorists. Hezbollah operatives can be seen setting fires near the border using tactics that imitate those used by Palestinian terrorists in Gaza who have been sending thousands of arson balloons into Israel with devastating effects. Strong winds quickly fanned the flames and caused the fire to cross the boundary and spread toward an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) base and the Israeli community of Margaliot. The fires caused several landmines placed along the border to explode. Officials believe that Hezbollah will continue to set fires along the border in order to try and keep the IDF distracted, and to clear brush that Israeli special forces could use for cover.

PA Bans LGBTQ Activities in West Bank
Over the weekend, the Palestinian Authority banned members of the Palestinian Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) community from carrying out any activities in the West Bank. The ban came after the grassroots group Al-Qaws for Sexual & Gender Diversity in Palestinian Society, which engages and supports Palestinians who identify as LGBTQ, was planning to hold a gathering for its members in Nablus at the end of the month. The group operates both in the West Bank and among Arab-Israelis. Following that announcement, Palestinian police threatened to arrest anyone involved in the gathering and have called on people to come forward with information about them.

U.S. Says Anyone who ‘Touches’ Iran Tanker Risks U.S. Sanctions
On Sunday, the Iranian tanker impounded by Gibraltar sailed out of the British overseas territory over the objections of the U.S. The Iranian vessel left Gibraltar’s waters after the territory’s Justice Ministry rejected a U.S. Justice Department warrant seeking the seizure of the ship and its 2.1 million barrels of crude oil. U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says anyone who “touches,” supports or allows an Iranian tanker carrying crude oil to dock risks U.S. sanctions. He told reporters Tuesday that if an Iranian supertanker that left Gibraltar on Sunday again heads to Syria, “we’ll take every action we can consistent with those sanctions to prevent that.” Pompeo said the U.S. doesn’t want crude oil to go to Syria because it will be “off-loaded, sold, used by the Quds force, an
organization that has killed countless Americans and people all across the world.”

U.S., Israeli Militaries Simulate Ship Hijacking Amid Tensions
On Tuesday, U.S. Special Forces and Israel Defense Forces conducted a joint exercise simulating the retaking of a hijacked ship. The drill comes amid heightened tensions between the U.S. and Iran in the Persian Gulf and efforts by the U.S. administration to set up a naval security mission to protect shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism and remains America and Israel’s greatest long-term threat in the Middle East. The Persian Gulf has seen six attacks on oil tankers in recent weeks.

Skin Concern? Skip Waiting for the Doctor Thanks to Israeli Start-Up DermaDetect
Rather than waiting at the doctor to diagnose a skin condition, patients can now use Israeli start-up DermaDetect’s app to take a photo of the skin lesion and answer a few questions before receiving either a treatment or management plan. Using artificial intelligence, DermaDetect analyzes both photos and patients’ information to provide diagnosis that overcomes the need for physical examination by a doctor. The questions the app poses to users are intelligent, in the sense that they follow-up one another based on the answers already given.
