We're proud to highlight our summer interns who have made a meaningful impact on Team Kelly in Washington, D.C.
Bailey Carpenter, a recent graduate of Mississippi State University in Agricultural Economics, will soon pursue her master's degree in the same field. She hopes to return to Capitol Hill to build a career in agricultural policy and legislation. This summer, Bailey has gained valuable experience in agricultural policy, attended committee hearings, and led Capitol tours.
Celie Rayburn, an Oxford native and rising senior at the University of Mississippi, is studying Public Policy Leadership and Spanish. She plans to attend law school after graduation and has appreciated the chance to see the legislative process in action.
Kate Sanders, a Columbus native and rising senior at the University of Mississippi, is majoring in Marketing. Her time in Washington has included attending committee briefings, leading tours of the Capitol, and developing a stronger understanding of Congress.
Molly Cat Tannehill, from Oxford, is a rising senior at Mississippi State University, double majoring in Communications and Political Science. She has enjoyed working alongside her fellow interns, contributing to research for the NDAA, and experiencing the daily operations of Congress.
We are grateful for the enthusiasm, dedication, and hard work each of our interns bring to the office every day.
My office offers internships for college students each semester and during the summer. This is an amazing opportunity for students. Interns will work with staff members to learn the legislative process, assist with daily tasks, attend training, perform administrative duties, and aid in constituent services in an educational capacity.
