Eddie Lucio Jr, the Texas State Senator for the Brownsville/Harlingen area, was pushed into a primary runoff for Senate District 27. This challenge from the left came despite his much deeper pockets, seniority and coveted seat on the Senate Select Committee on Redistricting. What gives?
