Happy Labor Day!

Today, we honor the workers who built our state — and the unions that fought to make their lives better.

Arizona's labor history runs deeper than most people realize. In 1884, over 300 miners in Tombstone went on strike when mine owners slashed their wages by 25%.

In 1917, 5,000 copper workers struck across the state, leading to the infamous Bisbee Deportation, when over 1,200 workers were forcibly removed to New Mexico.

These workers understood something that's still true today: When working families organize, they win. That's how unions built the middle class. And that's why we're proud to work alongside unions today to support Arizona families.

But right now, working families are under assault from Trump's anti-worker agenda:

* He's gutting Medicaid , taking healthcare away from hundreds of thousands of Arizonans,
* His tariffs are driving up costs on everything from groceries to gas,
* He's stripping away safety regulations that protect workers from harmful substances,
* He's eliminating overtime protections , cutting paychecks for families who need every dollar,
* And he's rolling back environmental protections that keep communities safe.

This isn't just policy — it's personal. When Trump eliminates safety regulations, workers get hurt. When he cuts overtime protections, families lose income. When he gives corporate bad actors a free pass, working people pay the price.

We can’t let this happen. We're fighting back, and we need you with us.

The Arizona Democratic Party is standing with unions and working families against Trump's assault on workers and their rights. We're fighting for good union jobs, higher wages, and an economy where families can thrive instead of just survive.
