Hey friend,

As a retired union painter (District Council 30), I know that we have a lot to thank our brothers and sisters in Organized Labor for. Everything from workplace safety laws to the increase in the minimum wage are a testament to the strength of the labor movement, and their persistence in the face of pushback. Illinois is stronger because of Organized Labor.

We live in a time now where Trump and his administration are union busting in the federal government, and backing policies that will actively hurt jobs and workers. Trump has worked tirelessly to undermine the Labor Movement and he’s not going to stop.

But Illinois will continue to be a proud union state, and IDCCA will continue to be an organization that supports and advocates for workers and Organized Labor.

Thank you to everything the Labor Movement has done, and will continue to do. We truly do appreciate it.
