Hi John, and Happy Labor Day!

Today is our opportunity to recognize the accomplishments of the organized labor movement. Everything from workplace safety regulations to the minimum wage have come as a result of union advocacy – and unions are critical to the American economy.

We live in a time now where Trump and his administration are union busting in the federal government, and backing policies that will actively hurt jobs, the economy, and American workers. Trump has worked tirelessly to undermine the Labor Movement and he’s not going to stop.

But I will always be a leader who values the labor movement. I’ll be spending today at the Annual Labor Day Picnic, because it’s important to me to spend today hand in hand with our union neighbors.

Thank you to the labor movement – and you will always have an ally in me!
