Happy Labor Day!

I was a dues-paying, card-carrying member of my teachers union for years. I know firsthand how the labor movement has changed lives for the better.

In Minnesota, we’re proud to have one of the nation’s most generous paid family and medical leave policies. We’ve ensured paid sick days, expanded the right to collectively bargain, and increased worker protections.

But we can’t take that progress for granted.

Donald Trump and his MAGA allies want to roll back the clock, stripping away protections for workers, weakening unions, and tipping the scales toward the powerful and the ultra-wealthy. We can’t let that happen.

I’ll keep saying it: when working families are strong, Minnesota is strong.
