Dear John,

This Labor Day we recognize, now more than ever, we need America's unions.

With growing income inequality and attacks on our contracts and voice on the job, our commitment to standing together in the face of adversity will see us through these trying times.

Workers before us have fought and won. Our predecessors showed us what it takes to take on the boss and win. We carry that spirit with us today as we organize, mobilize, protect and defend public servants in a current political climate that seeks to weaken our resolve.

Here at AFGE what our union and members do has a far-reaching effect across the country. When government employees have the resources and support they need to do their jobs, everyone wins, which is why AFGE remains committed to standing up for our nation, our democracy, and our people.

As we celebrate Labor Day, we are grateful for all of you for being a part of the movement that fights for better pay, benefits, and working conditions.

Let's keep up the fight for working families. Stay connected and learn how you can take action by visiting AFGESolidarityCenter.org.

Happy Labor Day, John!

In Solidarity,

AFGE
