Friend --
This Labor Day, we pause to honor the men and women whose skill,
dedication, and pride built the backbone of this country.
Our roads, our ports, our railways, and our highways are more than
just infrastructure—they are a testament to the strength and
excellence of America’s Building Trades. They ensure safe travel for
our families, efficient commerce for our businesses, and a foundation
strong enough to carry our future.
During my time in Congress, I was proud to work closely
with the Building Trades—championing legislation that strengthened
their industry and fueled our nation’s infrastructure. It’s long past
time for those in power in Washington to do the same: to show up for
Labor, because Labor has been showing up for America every single
day.
The Building Trades of
this country are the best trained and most skilled in the
world. Their work doesn’t just move America forward—it keeps
America strong.
So today, we celebrate what they’ve accomplished and look ahead
with gratitude and optimism for what they will build next: the
bridges, schools, and systems that will serve generations to come.
Happy Labor Day.
