Friend, let’s think about the future we want to build together.

The last few months have been an extraordinary challenge for Canadians, and I hope that you and your loved ones are staying healthy through it all. As our Liberal government continues

working to ensure that all Canadians can stay safe, healthy, and supported , it’s inspiring to see how Canadians have come together to care for each other – especially the front line workers whose selfless service has made all of our communities so much stronger.


And if this pandemic has been an unprecedented challenge for our country, it has also been an important opportunity: To figure out what really matters in our communities, to have meaningful conversations about how we can take care of those around us, and perhaps above all, to think about what kind of future we want to build together.


We have the chance to shape our country and our world for the better. And I know that we’re up for the task.


Even as Canadians work together to safely get our communities and economy back up and running, I know that our whole Liberal team is as committed as ever to moving Canada forward, and building on the progress that you’ve made possible since 2015.


For the past 4 years for example, the Canada Child Benefit has helped put more money in the pockets of 9 out 10 families, and next month, it’s increasing again to help keep pace with the high costs of raising kids. That’s another important part of our work to make life more affordable for Canadian families.

Last month, we took a decisive new step to help keep our communities safe from gun violence, with an immediate ban assault-style weapons that have no place in Canada.


We’re also taking real action to fight climate change and protect our coasts, oceans, and a clean environment for future generations.


We all have the chance to shape a better future, friend, and I know that Liberal volunteers across Canada have already made more than 60,000 calls to hear new ideas from Canadians about making it possible.


That means keeping up the hope and hard work that powers our progress for Canadians. Every step of the way, our movement is listening to Canadians and staying focused on moving Canada forward – but none of that is possible without your support, friend.

I know that not everyone is in a position to contribute ahead of our end-of-quarter grassroots fundraising deadline tonight, and that’s okay – there are many ways to show support for our progress or make a difference in your community at the moment, and we appreciate your dedication and commitment in every possible way.
