“I know there’s nothing too big for Christ. Nobody is too far gone.” —Stephanie
On Feb. 11, 2011, 27-year-old Stephanie plodded down the snowy sidewalk, clutching her prison ID card and wearing a white T-shirt, jeans, socks, and shower sandals. It was all she had.
With no car and no one to give her a ride, she made the nearly 4-mile trek to the parole office, where the conditions of her release required her to check in within 24 hours of leaving prison.
She had just been released from South Boise Women’s Correctional Center, and she was committed to thriving on the outside, but her return to the community was off to a rough start.
Thoughts of doubt crept in, but still, the truth of God’s Word echoed in her mind.
