Dear John,
District Update
This month, I was back home in the district for August recess, and there's no better place to be. Nothing beats walking shop floors, visiting classrooms, grabbing coffee with neighbors, and hearing straight from the folks I work for. From small-business visits and roundtables to community events across our communities, my focus was simple: listen, learn, and carry your priorities back to Washington.
These visits weren't about politics; they were about people. Your families, your jobs, and the future we're building together. I'm grateful for every conversation and every chance to connect. As always, if you need help with a federal agency, my office is here to assist. Thank you for the opportunity to serve, and I look forward to seeing you again soon around the district.
Here are a couple of highlights from the month:
Had a great visit with the Alvarado Chamber and city officials!

I also enjoyed spending time with the Ennis Rotary, the Anderson County Farm Bureau, and the Palestine Chamber.

In Mansfield, I spent a great day with the dedicated teams at Texas Health Mansfield and Walmart.
I also had the privilege of touring Qarbon Aerospace alongside the Boeing team and attending the F-35 demonstration by Lockheed Martin and Gamma Aerospace. With all the outstanding work these companies are doing, it’s clear that the future of aerospace is being built right here in our backyard.

Upcoming Events
As summer comes to a close, I want to take a moment to wish all of our students, teachers, administrators, and school staff a safe, successful, and fulfilling school year ahead!
For those students considering applying for a Service Academy, my office is hosting Service Academy Q&A sessions! This is great opportunity to get learn more about the application process, career paths, and what it takes to attend a U.S Service Academy.
