I’m writing to you today not just as Mad’s Field & Finance Director, but as someone who also sees every day just how hard this team works to protect our democracy.
It is easy to think of odd-numbered years as off-years since they don’t have federal elections. However, elections ARE happening this year nationwide, and they are growing in importance – Trump, his administration, and his extremist supporters are pushing dangerous gerrymandering schemes and unleashing National Guard troops on peaceful protests.
Our next Pennsylvania election is this November, and all eyes are on us to see if we elect those who will fight tooth and nail to defend our democracy and rights. I am asking you to chip in and help us turn out Democratic voters this fall.
Mad and our team are busy in PA – here in the state, there are days of action, volunteers are helping voters request mail-in ballots, and they’re fighting to keep qualified judges like Christine Donohue, David Wecht, and Kevin Dougherty on the bench.
But we need your help to keep it going.
