Hi, it’s Congressman Robert Garcia, the top-ranking Democrat on the House Oversight Committee.

I need to level with you.

Because of California’s redistricting, I’ll be running for re-election in a brand new district — the 42nd. It’s tougher, it’s more competitive, and Republicans are already eyeing it as one of their best chances to flip a seat in California.

That’s why I set an ambitious goal: 500 grassroots contributions before midnight tonight. If we can hit that mark, we’ll prove we have the strength to take on whatever Republicans throw at us in CA-42.
