I have two Republican opponents in this race, and a whole lot of national GOP attention and attacks come from that. While they focus on aligning with the MAGA agenda, we’re focused on our local communities in IL-13 – from Champaign, to Springfield, to Decatur, and everywhere in between.

While the House has been in recess, I’ve spent my time traveling across downstate Illinois to listen to the concerns folks have with what’s happening in Washington. I’m heartbroken by the stories of families struggling to make ends meet, and how the GOP’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” threatens their health and their ability to put food on the table.

I’ve dedicated my career to doing right by working families. I helped lead the effort to pass a $15 statewide minimum wage, expand rural access to broadband, and now in Congress, I’m prioritizing those who are now being left behind by this White House.

This fight isn’t easy, but it’s essential. While it’s tough to make progress in the minority in Congress, I’m getting it done – and I need your help to keep pushing forward.

The national GOP is already eyeing this seat as a key piece of their mission to expand their majority next year. I flipped this seat in 2022, and I’ve been in their crosshairs ever since.
